Is this an AI address parser?
No. PassionCore Address Tokenizer is designed around deterministic parsing rules and selected reference data. It does not require an external AI model or cloud parsing API.
Can it run locally?
Yes. The product is designed as a Java library that can run inside your application, backend service, batch job, or internal tool.
What is included in Core?
Core is completely free under Apache License 2.0. It includes GeoNames-assisted city-to-country resolution, dedicated parsers for AU, CA (English), CA (French / Quebec), DE, FR, UK, and US, a universal fallback parser for all other countries, and an overall confidence score.
What does Pro add?
Pro adds additional country-specific parsers, curated open-data reference datasets for enhanced country detection and enrichment, data healing and normalization for incomplete or inconsistent addresses, field-level confidence, ISO 20022 mapping, and trace logs for debugging, review, and explainability.
Can I use Core in commercial software?
Yes. Core is open source under Apache License 2.0 and may be used in commercial and non-commercial applications in accordance with the license. There is no separate paid Core version.
Does it validate deliverability?
No. It is not a postal authority validator and does not guarantee that an address is deliverable, complete, or officially recognized.
How should confidence be used?
Use confidence as a workflow signal. Core provides an overall confidence score for the parsed address. Pro provides field-level confidence so teams can route specific uncertain fields to review.
What is the trace log for?
The Pro trace log helps teams understand parser decisions, country-detection behavior, fallback choices, and enrichment signals. It is useful for debugging, support, and enterprise review.
Is it suitable for ISO 20022 projects?
It is designed to help teams tokenize, structure, and assess address text for ISO 20022 migration, payment modernization, onboarding, and data cleanup work.
Are data sources disclosed?
Yes. Data sources and attribution notices are documented for transparency, licensing compliance, and enterprise review.
Can it support air-gapped customers?
Enterprise agreements can support offline deployment and license-file workflows where online authentication is not suitable for the customer environment.
